Future Houses

The Activist Institute envisions a future when every major city (and minor city) across the country is home to a group of young people, living and working together to address the nation's most pressing social issues.

Through this network of houses, groups of young organizers and activists will continuously enter the progressive community with a strong support network -  and help connect the nations most pressing issues on a personal and a political level  to create the societal and systematic changes needed in this country.

The Activist Institute will launch with the Energy, Environment, Sustainability Institute in Washington D.C. and will grow to include future houses across the country. There are currently plans to launch the following Institutes. If you have an idea for an institute or issue that is not represented above, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us and let us know what you would like to see.

  • Human Rights Institute- New York City
  • Race in America Institute-  Chicago
  • Immigrant Rights Institute- Los Angeles
  • Labor, Union Organizing Institute - Baltimore
  • Queer Rights Institute - San Francisco
